Subject: a question Date: Thu, 3 Feb 2000 15:17:42 EST I have just recently read up on the flat earth society, and I am not asking this to question the beliefs,, but it has been said, that a person at the oceans edge can only see out 3 miles., is this due to that strength of the human eye? because if you had a telescope perfectly level at the same spot. looking out to sea. it would (in theory) only be able show objects three miles away? How is this so?
